4,7,8 breath
4,7,8 breathing is great if you have trouble falling to sleep or if you wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep again.
As per most of the calming types of breathwork, we are only using the nose to inhale and exhale and the exhale is longer than the inhale.
We inhale for a count of 4, hold for a count of 7 and exhale for a count of 8.
If you feel particularly anxious when you start this, you may find the holding for 7 and exhaling for 8 challenging. If you do, try holding for 6 and exhaling 7. After a few rounds, you should find that you can do the 7 hold and 8 exhale.
